1966 International Harvester Scout 800

This is a 1966 International Scout 800 with a 2. 5 liter engine (4cyl) with a desirable 4 speed transmission. It has 49. 00 original miles and is in great condition. This vehicle was originally a Texas vehicle and was a golf course service truck for the beginning of its life and I bought it from the next Texas owner. (I kept the rear Golf Superintendent sticker and front Texas registration sticker to help document its history)  This vehicle has just been  restored inside and out! The top was removed. the  interior and windows out taken out and the body was taken down to the metal. primed and repainted.  This vehicle looks great drives great and has no rust.  Its a factory color two-stage base coat clear coat urethane PPG paint job and the white top is a one-stage paint. The undercarriage has been re-seam sealed and undercoated. There is new brake shoes. front brake wheel cylinders. brake fluid and master cylinder. New plastic gas tank. sender unit and filler neck tube on the passenger side. Brand new Kenda Klever M/T tires. All brand new windshield rubber gaskets. weather stripping for the doors. windows. topper and rear. 4 brand new shocks. rear pinion seal replaced. new fluids in the. rear end. oil change. oil filter and antifreeze.   Lights. signals and speedometer and gauges in working condition. Heater works great on both defrost and interior settings. The clutch has been inspected and adjusted and is working well. New hinges were installed on the driver side door.   New Interstate battery and hold down strap. new chrome muffler tip. the oil pan gasket  was replaced and painted oil pan. and new valve cover gasket was replaced and painted valve cover. New plugs. points. rotor. cap. condenser. and wires. And a brand new carburetor was installed. To help quiet the ride. bed liner was sprayed in the rear and floor pans. and new carpet was installed front and rear. topped with front floor mats. The front seats were custom wrapped in high-end motorcycle leather and new seat belts were installed. This truck is awesome; it looks and drives great and it is a showstopper. you must see and drive to appreciate.
Okay as GREAT as this vehicle is. and this is an e-bay auction and all bidders will not all be able to inspect the vehicle and I want no surprises for the buyer; here is a list of this items that I would like to point out;
This is not a perfect show truck. If a show truck is a 10. this truck is a solid 7-8. This is a 1966 vehicle with non power steering and non power drum brakes; the systems have been completely  gone through and are working as designed: however this is a dated braking and steering system and does not steer and brake like modern cars. The wiper system is not working. Works off of fuel pump vacuum. which was gone through with out functional results. I only replaced the passenger fuel tank. sender unit and inlet hose and not the driver side tank which will need to be replaced. There is no dash pad. The side view mirrors are not factory. There is no rear seat. The paint job has slight orange peal ( I am being critical as I did not color sand and buff)The steel wheels were not factory wheels. they are wider and the factory hubcaps sit out a little bit farther. You should be able to see this in the pictures. I did not paint the rear end. leaf springs drive shaft. transmission and engine block. This is a great vehicle and the buyer will not be disappointed.
