Datsun 280 z Roadster (Convertible) in show room quality condition.

A car like no-other. a full custom convertible conversion by MITEK Fine Auto

BODY:
Before the project. the original was a rust-free pristine representation of such a 280 z that had its structural rigidity reinforced to compensate for the lack of hard-top and prevent frame twisting.

The trunk and rear-quarter panels are all fiberglass.

The soft-top is Vinyl and is in great condition.

The body lines are perfect and the full cherry red paintjob blends it very nicely together.

It has 240 z chrome bumpers.

INTERIOR:
Interior is in fantastic shape for a 37 yr old car.

There are no cracks in the dash. no tears in the seats.

It has an upgraded sound-system as the original died very long ago!

MECHANICAL:
The car runs great however after sitting for a few years I had to freshen up some little things.

Here is what was done just this summer!

* New BREMBO Brakes
* New Shocks
* New Mishimoto Radiator
* New Fuel Injectors & Clips
* New Spark plugs & NGK Wires
* New Clutch master cylinder
* Clutch less than 10. 00 miles on it and grips great!
* 15" BBS Rims with Michelin tires

It now runs like a champ and gets more looks than my Corvette!!! It idles great and it does not suffer from the notorious Datsun 'tick' that is a common problem on these cars.

There is no slop in the timing chain.

All emission control equipment still present and working and will most likely pass a California Smog test.

This car was a labor of love and it is clearly obvious! The proof is in the pudding -- have a look at the pictures on my flikr account.

The car is currently located in Canada however I live close to NY & Michigan borders and can meet there.
