You're looking at a 1982 AMC Spirit Race Car with a 406 Stroker High Output V 8 Engine and 2-speed power glide Automatic Transmission. This is a Pure Race Car. not meant for the street. Runs on 114 Octane Gasoline Only and it gets less than 1 mile to the Gallon. holds about 2 gallons. Fully Rebuilt for the drag strip. no title. no original Vin #. and we have no idea how many miles are on it. But whatever the mileage. it's been racked up 1/4 mile at a time. Clocked at 11. 06 seconds in the 1/4 mile and 7. 28 seconds in the 1/8 mile. Transmission was rebuilt and it hasn't raced since the Rebuild. This was originally built by two brothers in North Carolina who were both State Troopers. The current owner/seller acquired it from the Estate of the Last guy who raced it regularly. It was only sold because he passed away. This AMC Spirit has very little remaining from the Spirit that American Motor Cars built in 1982. Basically. it's just the body of an AMC Spirit. Virtually Nothing remains from the Assembly Line. It has a 406 ci Chevy Motor. rebuilt by Danny Shortridge of Tennessee. It has Aluminum Heads. 406 Stroker Motor. Pro Comp Water Pump. Aluminum Radiator. Transmission Cooler. Holly Carb. MSP Ignition. Inside the car. it has power electric windows. Auto Meter Tachometer and Gauges. Full Electronics Package with Shifnoid Standard RCI Fuel Cell. 8-point roll cage. Trunk Mounted Dry Cell Battery. Cal Track Suspension. Stronge 4-wheel Disc Brakes and Pro Comp Shocks. It's riding on Hoosier Drag Slicks size 33. 0/10. 5 - 15 with Aluminum Center Line Wheels with a Narrowed Ford 9" Rear Ratio. We are selling this AMC Spirit Race Car for a Friend.
