1957 Alfa Romeo Spider for sale
Current customer rating:
Very rare early 1957 Giulietta Spider 750 D. This a one Owner matching numbers car with chassis # AR 1495*01594 and engine # AR 1315*41667 in excellent preservation state. This car has been with same Owner since purchased new and until recently acquired and for the most part has been kept original throughout the years. The car retains its original color. possibly a respray 15 or 20 years ago. The paint still shines nicely and has very little patina when inspected up close. otherwise it presents itself as shown on the photos. Besides the original engine. this car retains the original very rare tunnel case 4-speed manual gearbox with the early curved stick shift lever. The car has never been disassembled and remains
in very good running condition with strong engine compression. New tires and exhaust and recently serviced brakes. The interior is also in very good conditions with new wool carpets and rubber mats. Very nice gauges and steering wheel. interior is very correct and very good condition. Under the rear drape is the correct wheel and tire with jack.
This vehicle has incredible shut lines. the body is very solid as shown by the interior pans prior to installing new carpets. The exterior trim has excellent fit. note the unneeded rubber trim around front body. a true sign of a body that hasn't seen body work on its delicate nose.
Early '57
Giuliettas are hard to find and this one is now is the real deal without the usual "improved" 5 speech gearboxes and 101 transmissions. The car comes with original factory shop manual. a service manual from the original owner with some handwritten notes. an original jack and toolkit. The car has a clear Florida Title and
is currently stored in Lake Forest. Illinois. For more photos. go to bandlvintage. com . Not a dealer. just a collector of nice cars.
