Your looking at a 1974 Pontiac Trans am that i have owned for 20+ years. As most projects go with cars you either finish them with in a couple of years or loose interest and they just sit. I drove this car for the first couple of years when it was purchased in Georgia from a Porsche repair shop /race shop in Marietta Ga. . I was having my 944 turbo worked on and i saw it sitting inside his shop.

The motor and trans where out of the car when i bought it . ut everything was there and all original. It had somewhere in the 89. 00 mile range when I originally purchased it and now has 132. 00+ . I had a 455 motor out of another car that was a good running motor so i put that in because i figured while i was driving it i would have the other matching numbers motor built . Then the motor sat in my garage until i could find the right person to build it the way i wanted because Pontiac's are expensive to build . I hunted down a guy named Jim Taylor that had a great reputation for building Pontiac motors and after our conversation i sent the motor and transmission out with some 7 F 6 heads and a older Holley intake that he requested because he knew that i wanted a car that i could drive all the time if i wanted . I was going to buy some Aluminum heads originally but he told me to find the steel heads instead because for my application they would work better as a daily driver. I picked the motor up between 2000 & 2001 and have only put between 200 to 300 miles on it . decided to break it in because it had sat for a few years and i just had to hear it run again so i put it in my 70 Trans am that i had at the time . The original car was in the garage being slowly worked on over the years . well time has pasted me buy because I no longer have a garage and for the last 5 month's the car sits in my carport covered up with all these great parts but needs someone to finish the project. When i started the project i sandblasted the whole car to remove any rust and then i acid etched the bottom and fire wall . also used seam sealer on all seams / then painted the firewall and underneath . I have the original build sheet and all manuals.

I will try to list as much as i can and be as accurate as i can about everything on this car. Any question's just send me a email thru e Bay and i will get right back to you . Thanks

My plan was to install a Vintage a/c unit along with a nice stereo system . The body was painted 13 yrs. ago but never completed 100% The hood and nose and front valance needs to be sprayed and other small area's that where missed. I was going to do a quick all over because most all of the body work is done . there is a dent on the drivers door from me dropping the engine hoist leg on it when it was in my garage but the rest of the car is very straight. The car will need a exhaust system and minor odds and ends . It has original glass in the rear window and for the doors. Also all the body panels need to be realigned / Hood/ Doors/ Fenders/Front nose. these parts where put on to move the car from my old house to here . I could assembly more on the car but you would just have to take it off to paint again . There is a lot of parts that go with this car and also some duplicate parts. As they say my loss is your gain . thanks for looking at my item and good luck bidding.

The only things that are not done on the interior of the car are. front seats are not bolted in because i was not sure which ones i was going to use . Door panels are not on because the windows need to be put in doors and then sound deadening needs to be added . lso i was not sure if i was going to go with Year one ----- one piece pro-touring door panel . The center console is not in because i didn't want to have it in the way or get damaged . The dash bezels are not in because i planned on putting in a Vintage Air unit. Thanks for the question's .

Someone just asked me how much HP this combination makes . and what else is needed to finish the car and make it drivable . This particular package makes between 550 HP to 570 HP depending on timing / max 36 degrees and fuel 93 or 103 octane / 570 TQ to 590 TQ once again depending timing and fuel octane. With a one inch carb spacer it will pickup another 10 to 20 HP but lose a little in torque. Also you can add a bigger cam to get over 600 HP but lose a little drivability. This is a fully balanced and blue printed combination that he built over 100 times or more . The reason i did not add the carb spacer was for hood clearance with the shaker scoop and as for the bigger cam i preferred the drivability over 30 to 50 more horse power. Exhaust . fan shroud . ead lights . drive belts . fluids . i think that's about it. Thanks for your question's .
