AUSTIN MINI 25 - CLASSIC CAR 1984 FLIP-FRONT WITH NEW MOT
For sale is my classic mini and hobby. Much loved and pampered but has to go as my wife is expecting a baby and it wont get used!
Recently completed 'London to Brighton Mini Run 2013' - no issues. Regular attender at mini shows / rallies. Was at Shoreham 'Mini's on the Rec' last weekend.
Tastefully modified classic. Has been garaged whlist owned.
SPEC:-
ENGINE: Recent engine rebuild with new cam bearings / re-ground crank and new crank bearings. 10. 1 to 1 compression block and head skim Hif 44 carb / rod rally cam / double strength valve springs Top and bottom silicone hoses Lightened clutch plate New radiator and fan as was running warm in hot weather (less than 100 miles ago) - see last pic. Now runs super cool. New clutch slave cylinder New themostat gasket
WHEELS/BRAKES: Mini Super Lights 13"Sitting quite low at moment on hi-lo's and spax adjustables. Floflex bushes. Discs at front. superfins on rear
BODY/MISC. : Full professional respray Stainless exhaust (quite loud)Carbon fibre boot floor Fibreglass flip front (fully removable)Fibreglass boot flap New inner and outer seals Tinted rear windows Battery moved to under rear seat Cd player Custom dash and fully re-wired 2 new front tyres. plenty of tread on rears LED numberplate lights at rear
BAD POINTS:
Hardly any. everything pretty much works as it should. Extremely reliable for an old car. Always starts and recently passed MOT no problems. Has a very slow ~1 drop a day oil leak (like all old minis - you'll be hard pushed to find one without!). Exhaust beginning to blow - minor. Limited service history 29 yrs old. so expect minor bodywork scratches etc. No major rust however.
HPI clear. V 5 present. New MOT. Tax for few months. Hundreds of old receipts. Also have set of 'new style' number plates and spare wheel.
I do not need (or really want) to sell the car and so as a result wont accept silly offers. Im not in a hurry. Mileage will go up as used as a daily runaround. Honest reliable classic.
