1970 GMC 1/2 Ton Short Bed Stepside Pickup Truck for sale
Current customer rating:
1970 GMC ½ Ton Stepside Short bed second-generation pickup with chromed-out (!) rebuilt 350 V 8. rebuilt 350 transmission. new heavy duty radiator. new Edelbrock carburetor with new aluminum intake. new distributor. new heater core. headers and new Purple Hornies dual exhaust.
All glass is good. except a small chip in windshield (no cracks).
Solid and straight truck with NO rust-through. solid bed. and sprayed with flat black primer to protect from corrosion until final sanding and paint.
Trim. interior. and mechanical parts are readily available in catalogs at low prices.
Most GMC parts are also interchangeable with ‘67-‘72 Chevys. since differences are few and cosmetic (grills. etc. ) Has more of a muscle-car vibe and less of a plain work truck feel than older trucks.
Starts (with a jump). runs. moves forward and back. and stops.
Does not overheat. (but the heater works great) and runs smooth and strong.
Not a daily driver now. but a great candidate for restoration.
Radio. speakers. and antenna not installed. but the working radio is included.
Time to admit I'm probably never going to make time to finish this project. try to recoup part of my expenses. and pass it on to someone with the desire to complete and enjoy it.
Tires hold air. but it has been sitting for a while. so be prepared to bring it home with a tow or trailer.
Please contact Mark at 217/390-8500 with questions or more information.
Buyers with little or no feedback must contact me or risk deletion of bids.
PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY.
