1971 Austin FX4 taxi carbodies for sale

Austin FX 4 taxi for restoration. This is an early model taxi. with classic gauges and chrome trim.
The body is in fair condition for its age. but will need rust repair in various areas (sills. floor patches. bottom of right rear fender). The chassis is in solid condition. Detailed pictures of the body and chassis are available on our web site.
This car has not been driven for some time. It runs and drives. but will need mechanical attention. The engine smokes. which could either be a problem with the diesel pump/filter/plugs. or oil consumption. It runs pretty nicely. but leaks oil. The gearbox would need to be rebuilt. It is dirty on the inside. leaks oil. 1 st and 2 nd gears do not engage and the reverse is noisy.
The interior is in good condition and would not need much attention.
The car is registered in the Netherlands. International bidders are welcome and we will assist with export documents and/or transportation to the port of Rotterdam (additional costs apply).
