We have another car going to the run so this may go if we sell the other it to this years Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach FL if your not familiar with it. . I believe at the show. and the right person. this car will bring our previous asking price. thank you again.
This car is not restored. . This is a very rare to find cars with a limited number produced and one's that didn't make the crusher or junk yard. and or rotted to the ground.
We are going to list the car at it's current state. it has not been buffed yet etc. I have personally drove the car for a round trip over 40 minutes a couple times a week with no issues. the cars power disk brakes work. the power steering works. the clock works. lights. horn . radio sounds great. . tc. AC blows but not cold. and as any car in its condition I would replace the tires. The car does not leak water in. very good example in my opinion.
The interior of the car is in incredible shape. the headliner is a materiel that looks like velvet. in very excellent condition. no sags. Only areas that need repair - the driver side seat has a split on the seam and passenger side carpet in the front. it's worn. Also. a crack in the dashboard on the speaker vent. No rusted out pans or panels on the car. In the future to top and some paint would be needed as one would most likely do. This car is being now sold at a very fair price. If your reading this you know. you also may have seen it on here a few times. The right person who knows "whats what". will get it this time !. I can't list again. I have sold other cars so possibly now be able to drive this to the local shows to sell to someone that would be honored for the great find of this clean ride. No false or misleading information on my part. as I have described the car to the best of my knowledge.
The car is 47 years old. It does drive with no crazy issues. I do not know every nut and bolt of the car.
SOME INFORMATION FROM THE WEB
The 1967-1969 AMC Ambassador DPL and SST 2-doors were the successors to the straight-edge 1965-1966 Ambassador. They featured swoopy lines designed by the late AMC design director Dick Teague in the then-popular "Coke bottle" mode -- helped by a two-inch wheelbase stretch.
The
top-line SST 1969 AMC Ambassador was a smooth. powerful. well-proportioned sedan that did not look like anything else on the road and
stressed luxury.
The Ambassador's small-block V-8 s gave good performance. the base six good economy both were sturdy and easily serviced. Other pluses included AMC's usual all-coil suspension with a new Hotchkiss-drive rear (replacing torque-tube). plus a low-profile top stack on the convert.
Most of the 1967-1969 AMC Ambassador DPL and SST 2-doors were likely built with three-speed automatic (either Shift Command. with manual gear-hold. or conventional Flash-O-Matic. both basically Chrysler Torque Flite). but three-speed. three-speed/OD. and four-speed manuals were available and are as desirable and rare now as the front disc brake option. especially with V-8.
Videos will be able to be seen on You Tube. copy and paste.
Options also are Power Disk Front Brakes with master cylinder and booster. SAFE COMMAND. A/C. power steering. tilt steering wheel. radio. wood grain. cigarette lighter works and appears to be like new like the car. Due to timeand weather the things you see happened. This car touched up then buffed will glow!!!
