1962 Lincoln Continental Up for auction is my very clean and original 1962 Lincoln Sedan. Beautiful example of a well kept California rust-free classic. Sat in storage for decades before restoration began in 2010. This is a factory Presidential Black exterior with black leather interior car (paint-code #A. int-code #86). This was the top of the line Lincoln sedan offered in 62' with deluxe interior and 6 power windows. Has it all. A/C. power front seat. power steering. power brakes. a true dream to drive. I get compliments and turn heads wherever I drive it. A definite attention getter and conversation starter. Factory 430 ci with 38 k original miles. Transmission was rebuilt two years ago and has less than 3 k miles. shifts nice and smooth. Engine has a few upgrades for better drivability like Petronix Ignition. electric radiator fan. and an Edelbrock electric fuel pump. Starts right up on first key turn and drives just like a Lincoln. Feels like you're floating on a cloud. Suspension. power steering. and power brakes are all in perfect working condition and car handles great at all speeds. Large car but very easy to drive and has lots of power to move when you need to. All the trim and glass is original to the car. Pretty much everything has been re-chromed and polished including bumpers. door handles. emblems. all exterior trim. and interior chrome from window switch plate covers and ash try doors to gauge cluster bezels. Everything looks nice and bright. If you know early 60's Lincoln's then you know how tedious and expensive that can get. This Lincoln has all original sheet metal and everything lines up great with perfect seams between fenders. hood. doors. and trunk. Original rust-free floors. frame rails. and all body panels. Car has only been repainted once and that was in 2010. Correct black two stage base coat. clear coat paint job. Car is very straight and paint still looks like glass. As you can see all the chrome just bounces off the car. All the rubber was also replaced after paint job was done including door weatherstrip. window felts. and misc gaskets throughout. Interior was done last year and has new carpet. headliner. dash. reupholstered leather seats and door panels just like factory. Still has original wood paneling and all the interior chrome trim has either been re-chromed or polished. Trunk area was also carpeted and a custom tire cover was made with the Lincoln emblem embroidered which makes it stand out from other Lincolns.

Electrical is in great shape and everything works well including all 4 windows. both front vent windows. power seat. interior lights. A/C. exterior lights. turn signals. and wipers. Still has original 14" wheels with stock hubcaps. Cooker white-wall tires with about 80% tread.

Work recently done carb rebuild. radiator re-cored. new alternator. starter solenoid. and rebuilt brakes. The car is pretty much finished and just needs a couple minor things to be perfect. Stock radio is there but there are no speakers hooked up to it. I was going to install an aftermarket radio with i Pod conect in the glovebox but never got around to it. The A/C is due for a recharge. air is coming out cool instead of ICE Cold. Has a newer A/C compressor in it already. Aside from that she's ready to go and turn heads at your local car shows. Clean California title in hand registered under my name with current tags ready to be transferred to new owner. I've got about $30 k invested into this car and that's not including labor.
