Here we have a very good and solid two previous owner 1968 Rover P 5 B saloon that needs light restoration work to finish. It has an mot until October 12 th 2013 and is taxed (free) until December 2013. it has only covered 108000 miles and this car would be a good fun retro daily driver or very good base for a running restoration. This is a good car and the body was fully restored last year including the engine bay. it is solid in the right places. the doors. bonnet. boot. boot floor. floor. rear arches. rear quarters. front scuttle. a posts. sills. rear valance. inner wings and strut tops are all very very good with no rust. it has all its original jacking points and has only ever had one small bit of welding. The interior is in very very tired original condition with alot of age related wear. it has four new rubber door seals fitted. The engine and mechanics are very good and it drives very well. This car has only has two previous owners from new the last owner having owned it since 2009.
This is a great car and it would be a very easy and straight forward light restoration project. if you did the interior this car would be worth alot of money and would be a great investment.
The only down points are the chrome has pitted on the rear light surrounds and on the number plate plinth. the interior is very very tired and it needs a new one or a retrim.
This is a great opportunity to own a rare car as most have rotted away or been destroyed by banger racers.
