Ford Sierra road /night rally car.
Professionally built to very high standard. possibly the best built sierra night rally car available .
Shell
very tidy strong presentable 4 dr hatch in silver. fully strengthened in all the correct places. professionally fitted multi point weld in cage with forward triangulation. internal works type bag tank with swirl pot and pump all in a very neat carbon case. with correct fuel gage and instrumentation . clocks etc. weld in seat rails. Cobra Imola 2 seats . Sparco 6 point belts (out of date)
Engine.
2000 Vauxhall red top. Wosner pistons. steel rods. Tovey cams. adjustable pulleys. A. R. P. bolts. olished plenum . M. B. E. ignition set up. paddle clutch . oil cooler. all with quality Aeroquip hoses . 200 bhp . 3 events since top and tail check(all good) very tractable strong power.
Gear box
Tran X 5 speed sc/cr with rose jointed quick shift. in line alloy bell housing .
Axle
7 1/2 " cosworth unit built by Elite Transmitions plated L. S. D.
5. 1 cwp . big shafts . comp bushes. diff skid . strengthened links and pickups . events.
Brakes
cosworth 4 pots vents on front cosworth vets on rear. bias pedal box. hydraulic hand brake with cables. all with quality Aeroquip pipes.
suspension
Bilstein coil overs . ully adjustable rose jointed front set up . power steering rear Bilsteins with correct springs and comp bushes.
comes with some spares including 8 Cosworth 15" wheels. 6 yokohama ao 35 e's 4 hancok ventus (2 new) 7 toyo proxies r 1 r 4 as new.
The car is more than capable of wining out right. Has amazing power delivery with very good handling. I'm very reluctant to be selling. but because of lack of funds and struggling to push the clutch in due to a duff Knee and bad sciatica it needs a new home. I have only used the car 3 times in 2 years . 2 road rallies any 1 auto test. so I can't justify having it sat idle and could do with some mortgage money .
The quality of the work and engineering that has go into the car is a credit to the builders of the car.
It would make great all round stage night event car with the correct M. S. A. requirements done for log book. I may consider selling as a rolling shell and sell engine and box separate for the right money. My son is building a sunbeam rally car so may part ex for some sunbeam avenger parts
