VW Splitscreen sundial Camper, Californian import1967 walkthru combi patina bus

 1967 one year only model splitscreen walkthru combi sundial camper in original paint with bags of patina. /p>

 one of the earliest 67 model splits about. uilt sep 66 with all the 67 goodies and 12 volt electrics from factory

from sunny california so rock soild chassis/outriggers wheel arches etc . ave fitted new classic fab inner and outer sills  on loading door side. ew battery tray and drivers floor plate other than that its all original and all solid!

Sadly selling our split to fund a house move.  (but now have early bay project to do it all again! :-)

She was always gonna be a keeper so we have invested thousands getting her up to spec to keep up with and more importantly stop with modern traffic! basicly everything has been gone thru and checked or replaced to make her super reliable. nd useable as a second car for the occasional run to work (25 miles each way)or school etc and has never let us down. she will easily cruise all day at 70 mph (@3000rpm thanks to a vw mexico 1600i gearbox) with loads of power left! driven carefully she will also return about 35 miles per gallon! and  stops nearly as well as my passat sport.

 interior has been re made from marine grade ply copied from the original sundial wardrobe etc but with a devon style bed in lower load area but could easily be converted to rock and roll bed as thats what she had originaly!

interior has been fully rust proofed with dinatrol before insulating with household certified foil backed polystyrene . which keeps van very cool in summer and also does very good job of stopping the cold. also has soundproofing on eng bay and under cab mat

Porsche 911 leather front seats. point seatbelts front and rear. sony cd player and 160 watt speakers in front

new cab door/side load door seals and new front and rear windscreen seals

locking gear shifter

240v mains hook up. leisure battery with split charge relay. interior sink with elec pump.

Rebuilt 1641 engine with twin carbs with ported twin port heads. deep sump. ull flow filter. lec fuel pump. uel pressure regulator. osch alternator

Bus boys straight axle conversion. ith race axles for strength. disk brakes on rear (machined to allow easy wheel removal)

Brm alloys with continentals on front and goodyears on back all with loads of tread.

dropped spindles on front with modified drag links etc from t2d. /p>

csp disks on front. Bugpack disks on rear. rally size dual remote servo's. with all brand new brake pipes and new dual circuit master cylinder.

one key fits all locks! (apart from side load doors)
