This is a rare opportunity to purchase a rust free 1978 genuine Champagne edition VW Westfalia. this camper has just arrived from sunny Southern California and is currently in our workshops undergoing a full comprehensive restoration. This bus is totally rust free and does not require any panel replacement. picture 8 was taken before it was shipped over to show its original condition. the other pics show some of the buses we have recently completed and a selection of our stock buses.

The bus is extremely rare. being a Champagne edition specially ordered in white and not the usual Agate brown colour. nbsp;that's not to everyones taste.

The restoration process will involve the following;

Full body strip down inc removal of all doors. glass and roof canopies

Complete bodywork refurbishment prior to 3 coats of quality 2K primer

Full professional 2k body repaint including all apertures. inside of doors and engine bay in your choice of colours

Repainted roof canoies and wheels

Replace all window. door and roof seals & rubbers

Fit new windscreen

Replace all body gaskets

Fit new roof canvas

Fit 4 new tyres

Fit new hubcaps

Remove engine. strip and rebuild (i. e. new piston rings. valves. oil pump. gaskets. seals etc)

Fit all new engine service parts

Fit new brake pads & shoes. wheel cylinders and hoses

Fit new clutch

Fit new headlamps and rear lamp units

Fit new wipers

Convert screen wash system to electric pump

Carry out any further mechanical overhauls as required

Waxoyl underside of vehicle

Re-upholster all seats and cushions to your own design in your choice of materials

Fit New curtains

Replace rear carpet & cab mat

Re-laminate & refurbish original Westfalia interior cabinetry in your choice of finish

Fit New ZIG power management unit. Leisure battery and mains hook-up

Rewire camping electrical systems

Fit new submersible water pump

Fit new interior LED lights to your requirements

Fit "BOSE" bluetooth MP3 sound system

Supplied with UK registration. brand new MOT and 6 months road tax

By purchasing the bus at this stage you are now able to have an input in the restoration and personalise it to your liking. The bus can be repainted in any colour scheme of your choice. you can specify the colour and stlye of the interior upholstery. nbsp; also the type of laminate on the cabinets and anything else you desire.

Upon completion this will be a genuine show standard VW with fully overhauled mechanicals and a comprehensive list of new parts. Type 2's of this quality are getting harder to find with many "resurrected" rust buckets finding their way to the market!
