i'm selling this vehicle for a friend. This is a 1949 Mercury Coupe. Vehicle ID#9 CM 72856. with 72. 00+ miles. It has it's original Flathead V 8 motor. 6 volt electrical system. 3 speed manual shift on the steering column with working overdrive transmission. Minor items like clock and radio do not work at present. Rear quarter panels are fiberglass replacements. Recently. new rear leaf springs installed. emergency brake bars in rear brake system installed. front brake cable replaced. lights and directional's repaired along with vacuum powered wipers. All are now operational. Rear wheel well skirts. not on the vehicle in pictures. go with this vehicle. This 49 Mercury has not been chopped or customized in anyway.
