Barn find. 1954 Merc Monterey convertible. Appears to be the original 256 cubic inch "Y" block V 8. 162 horsepower. Merc-O-Matic (Fordomatic) 2 speed automatic trans. they made about 7. 00 of the convertibles. Dashboard looks good. 87000 miles.

Power windows and power brakes. Good solid car for restoration. Not running. Just pulled out of a barn. Interior looks good - red/black. All the glass is in tact. The floors look solid. There is an older repair on the driver's side. but done correctly. The front crossmember looks good. There is a lot of "flaky" surface rust underneath. from sitting. but it all looks solid underneath. I also discovered a new white convertible top. in the box. with a new back window. I have not opened the trunk and so far. have not located any keys.
