Citroen Special with Allard Single Seater Aluminium Boat Tail Evocation Body for sale
Current customer rating:
Re-listed due to mindless potless fantasist time waster. Won at auction. Won't respond to emails. Non payment (ukmace 2012).
My apologises therefore to the many interested parties.
Citreon Special with Allard Single Seater Aluminium Boat Tailed Evocation Body. Citroen Chassis and running gear.
Brief History as far as we can research though information is scant and cannot be verified. Sydney Allard (Allard Motor Company) built only 2 x Allard 38 s in 1938 for his own personal use. These cars were used for hill climbing which was his hobby and won most major events on the calendar.
In the late 1960 s. an aircraft engineer came across a drawing and built this remarkable recreation. The chassis used was a Citroen Special with Citreon running gear and hand built the body to the original size and specification. The engine is therefore a 600 cc air cooled which is perfectly happy cruising at 50 mph.
The car is a truly remarkable driving experience. very comfortable and superb driving position with lots of leg room. It has an outside gear shifter and was first road registered in 1974. It has a fantastic patina commensurate with its age and styling. Previously. approximately 5 years ago. the car was taken on a European tour for over a year by its then Owner.
Its always starts on the button. looks a £100 k worth and totally reliable. It sailed through its MOT in August with no advisories. It was also fully serviced at the same time. Its also had the spoke wheels balanced. blasted and painted red. Originals were silver.
Im crying at the thought of having to sell it but Im embarking on the construction of a Mercedes 23 C Le Mans racing car which is going to be a money pit. I therefore need the cash and Albert is therefore very reluctantly offered for sale.
This is a truly a unique opportunity to acquire a unique "one-off". Wherever you park it. you will get mobbed and videoed. Ive even had people videoing as Im driving on the road. Ive even heard comments from people that think its worth a million!! lol !! It looks it with a good cover registration number. Im not in to all that. I bought it and enjoyed it simply for the amazing driving and ownership pleasure it brings.
The car will represent a guilt-edged investment for the future and will provide its new Owner with an immense amount of pleasure. Im smile every time I see it!! Classic and oddball cars increasing in value by 30-40% a year.
Therefore. please dont make silly offers and waste your time and my patience. Its priced to sell !!
The number plate can be purchased for an extra £10 k. Reg transfers got very similar numbers on sale for £25 k.
