Hi there. Unfortunately for me. I am having to sell my beloved 1969 Vw beetle. I have owned it for a year and put a lot of hours in to make it what it is now.
Mot till June 2017. which I had to halve rewired £500. hydraulic brake cylinders replaced back and front. New Empi pushrods put on as old ones were corroded along with new rocker gasket and gasket covers. Carburettor stripped as was leaking. Replaced all new seals and cleaned. New HT leads as the originals had seen better days. New screen wash tank and motor as the old one had siezed and leaking. New carpet put in as old one was old. torn and really worn out.
Now she drives and sounds like a beauty. It's a real head turner. Starts first time every time. With a good sound system. with a sub and amp. The car is used daily so the mileage will change. it is currently sat at 59838. In the last 4 years covered only 4000 miles. The car is dry stored whenever no in use.
There are spares also included in the sale.
I had the bonnet. wings and engine lid vinyl wrapped which cost another £600.
Bad points
Window mechanism on the passenger door keeps slipping. Vinyl on the bonnet has a couple of finger holes. but have a replacement sheet. Slight tear in passenger seat and little tear on drivers seat. (All seating is original)
This car is a virgin to any vw shows or meets. just driven around my local town. Averaging 15 miles daily.
