1949 MG Y-Type Roadster - Restored to highest possible Concours standard!! for sale
Current customer rating: (625 votes ) based onThis must be one of the best restored cars in existence. Total body-off last nut & bolt renovation by skilled marque expert. The car is as beautiful on the underside as it is on the top. Fully polished & detailed engine bay. We can honestly describe the vehicle as being indistinguishable from new.
The vehicle has been completely restored. some details are listed below. it is as close to its original specification as possible and checked for authenticity by the MG Octagon Car Club.
Invoices for all the significant restoration components and repairs are available to the purchaser.

The Chassis Frame has been stripped and resprayed. Suspension. Brakes. Jackall Rams. Oil Pump. Fuel Tank all new or rebuilt. 5 new tyres and Hubcaps.
Body completely disassembled stripped. repaired and painted with two part epoxy in the original colour. All Brightwork re-newed or re-chromed. New floorboards. seals. brackets etc.
Engine rebuilt by a well-known XPAG engine rebuilder with all parts either replaced or remanufactured where necessary and the head converted to unleaded with large valves. New Exhaust System. All ancillaries inspected and overhauled.
New cotton covered Wiring Harness incorporating flashing indicators. New coil. distributor. wipers. horn rebuilt. all gauges rebuilt with new cables.
Re trimmed Seats. Doors. Front and Rear Quarters. Dash. to the original specification leather and vinyl. New double duck Hood. Full Tonneau. Hood Stowage Tonneau and Side Screens. Hardura boot floor trim with millboard side trim. New Carpets and side finish trims. Hood Frame restored.
The vehicle. one of the best examples of a very limited number of this model of MG.
