Final Year 1983 AMC Jeep Cherokee wide track SJ.

A timeless classic.

This is the Laredo package. Has an AMC 360. automatic 3 speed 727 transmission. NP 229 select-trac 4 x 4. AC. wide track. fully loaded for a Cherokee. If you are looking for a classic 4 x 4 or classic Jeep this is your vehicle. Love these things. Made them from 74-83. Only 6. 00 were made in 1983. as they were on their way out. Have never seen one this original in this condition. The jack in the back panel is still wrapped in the original plastic bag it came in. it has never been opened or used. There is absolutely no rust on this thing. Everything is factory original and in great shape for its age. a true survivor. 4 x 4 hi and low works fantastic. transmission shifts smooth. AC blows ice cold. everything on this car works other than the cruise control and the fuel/temp gauge. Gauges are a cheap easy fix (can buy them new) and I have confirmed that it is the two gauges themselves and not the sending unit.

Only other things are small oil leak. wet seals. not leaking onto the ground. I have also just fixed the transfer case leak that I mentioned in the video. A true time capsule. WOW! If you are a full size jeep fan it doesn't get much better than this.
