Here we have arguably the most sought after Morgan with the exception of the factory supersports. It is the holy grail in my opinion. and only for sale because I am a collector and have something else in my sights. I am not a dealer. just a lover of fine automobiles. This Morgan was built in 1951. has left hand drive with the Standard engine of the time. A predecessor to the triumph. it has a single downdraft carb. Rated at 68 hp. Car was imported to the US. but spent some time in Switzerland. taken there by its American owner. hence the Swiss temporary tags which I think are pretty cool. Then returned and spent the majority of its life in sunny California. Older restoration. won a National 1st place in 1978.  Very solid. no rust. no rot. Runs very well. does not overheat. carries good oil pressure. The front suspension was rebuilt by Bill Fink at Isis Motors in San Francisco. Drives and stops straight. all gauges work. turn signals work. The trafficators work as well. but I haven't figured out how to make both the trafficators and the turn signals work together. As you may have noticed in the pictures the car has 15 inch radial tires mounted. Included in the sale are another set of six  16 inch bias ply tires mounted on nicely refinished wheels for those show days. This is a Very Very nice example of a rare flat radiator Morgan in the even rarer drophead coupe version. There were only 185 plus 4 Morgans built for us export between 1951 and early 1954 when the rounded radiator cars were introduced. I would guess that no more than 20% were dropheads so this is one of what? About 37? Pretty rare in my book. Anyway. this is a really nice car. I have a clear title. There is no warrantee on a 62 year old car.  Ask questions. come and see. I will be happy to help with arranging shipping. May deliver on the west coast for expenses.
