Wolsely Hornet 1965 - ULTRA RARE SLIDING WINDOWS, MAGIC WAND, PULL HANDLE MODEL for sale

Here we have a 1965 Wolseley Hornet. made all the rarer thanks to it still retaining the early "Mini" styling ie: the sliding windows and interior door pockets. the pull handles on the door exteriors and of course the magic wand gear lever! Hornets and their sister car the Riley Elf are highly sought after these days and are commanding huge prices. But the vast majority of them tend to be the later Mark 3 s with the more conventional wind down windows. flush door panels and a straight gear shift.
This old girl. with only 55. 00 miles on the clock. has been dry stored for the past Six years She started up immediately with a drop of fresh petrol and the engine sounds as fit as a proverbial fiddle" She goes through her gears smoothly. drives and stops. She has a really nice interior with the just the right amount of patina to the original green leather seats. .
Door bottoms are surprisingly good.
S o in the last 2 years. i have been busy bringing this little girl back to life. and have given her a makeover. A Big one!
All Mot's back to 1998 are available and all receipts for parts are included. She's had a lot done and should make someone very happy indeed.
Brakes: New Back Plates. Shoes. Master Cylinders. Slave Cylinders. Cylinder springs. Drums. Copper Pipe. Cable to Handbrake ------All Renewed!
Clutch: Master cylinder for Clutch. Clutch Plate. and Release Bearing -----All Renewed
New Engine Mountings all round. Track Road Ends. Front and rear Bumpstops. New Petrol Pump and Copper Pipe front to back. Headlights. Bumper. Respray. Service and MOT!
All in all. probably a highly useable little - and early model - Hornet. I am well aware of their prices having seen later models selling at £6995 and even a thousand pounds more than that!
