1969 Volvo P1800 1800 1800S P1800S for sale
Current customer rating:
This Volvo is technically a 68 (w/ B 18 motor) that has been titled as a 69.
I think this was a common problem at the time because dealers had a hard time moving these cars off the showroom floors.
By the time they sold a think they were titled as the next year next model (At least that's my theory).
Originally this car was red w/ black interior.
This one came to me as a stalled project.
Needs a full restoration.
Previous owner has already done a lot of the body work but it needs to be finished and redone in some areas (outer rockers).
Floors are in good shape.
Previous owner fiberglassed drivers side floor and sealed with a very heavy looking paint.
Underside of car has the typical surface rust and will require the front two jack points completely cut out and replaced.
These replacement pieces are readily available from multiple vendors.
Trunk floor is nice and solid.
Front brake calipers have been removed and are missing from car.
Front bumper bracket bolts have been snapped off in the body of car.
These will need to be drilled out if you plan on having front bumpers.
I like the look without them myself.
Many of the loose parts for the car have been placed in the trunk for safe storage.
Previous owner started to overhaul the driveline.
The engine is disassembled.
It looks like the block is the only thing that made it to the machine shop.
Have no idea if he bored it out or just cleaned it up.
It's currently just mocked up in the engine bay.
The block has been painted.
The "D" type Laycock transmission is missing from this car.
I might have one available for purchase separate from car auction.
If I don't have one I have multiple sources that one can be purchased from used.
This car could also make a great candidate for a vintage race car build.
I'd hate to see a V 8 dropped in it though. but that's up to the new owner I guess.
Has a good Michigan title that has been signed by previous owner.
I'll be getting it placed in my name Tuesday.
Takes 5-10 business days to get the new title back in my name from MI.
International/foreign buyers are very very welcome to bid on my car.
I've shipped many cars overseas.
Shipping cost from my house to the port in New Jersey cost about $600.
For shipping I can help load car (I have machine w/forks) or I can get you in contact with my transport broker who is very good and fair on price.
I can also deliver the car for a fee.
Please call if you have questions.
My number is 586. 321. 6572.
I have uploaded a video slideshow to You Tube.
The slideshow has over 70 pictures showing the car in much more detail.
I strongly recommend watching this video and consider it part of the description.
You can search You Tube for this video under "Nick Tarlton Green 1969 Volvo 1800 S".
Feel free to ask questions.
Please only bid if you have the money and permission.
I prefer payment cash in person but can also do Pay Pal. money orders. cashiers check. and bank wire transfers.
The car is available most days and time to look over.
I'm also open to having a hired agent come and look at the car.
Thanks and have fun bidding. a lot.
