51. 00 genuine miles

Hi. thanks for looking at the auction for this gorgeous Triumph Spitfire Mk 3 . This Spitfire was supplied from new from Sam Robbins dealership in Nuneaton to a local lady. She owned the car until she was 75 years old and sold the car then showing 40. 41 miles in 1998 to the second owner who was a family friend and had known the car from new.
The car was fitted with new inner and outer sills plus new rear wings in 2002 and re-sprayed in its original colour. saffron yellow. (photos of the work are available). It was also fitted with a new soft top. carpets and re-chromed bumpers. The door gaps and panel fit are superb.
Apart from that work the car is pretty much how it left the factory. The paint finish is excellent. The only areas the may require attention soon are the lower front wheel arches and the edge of the front valance. (see photo).
The interior is very nice and has a great original feel to it. There is slight wear to the top of the seats where the hood frame has caught it. The dashboard. carpets. door panels are excellent. It has a stainless steel exhaust and electronic ignition.
Mechanically. the engine starts first time and sounds and runs beautifully. The gearbox has a smooth change and the overdrive works correctly.
On the road. I must say that this is one of the nicest classics I have driven. It feels tight. There are no rattles. shakes or strange noises making driving it and absolute pleasure. Obvious that its low mileage and careful use are to thank for this.
Make no mistake. this is one of the best original Mk 3 Spitfires around. It has a feel that many restored cars cannot compete with. Ready to jump in and use.
This is a trade sale. I buy and sell classic cars and am aware of how collectable the early spitfires are becoming.
I can arrange delivery all over the UK and to all ports.
Please email with any questions. Viewing is welcome.
Many thanks
