1976 marked the last year of the Stingray. until 2014 when it was brought back for the debut of the C 7 Corvette.
The 76 Corvette received steel floorpans to shield the catalytic exhaust. The steel floor pans actually weigh less than the fiberglass floor pans used in earlier Corvettes. and also reduced interior noise levels.
