I recently picked this 442 OLDS up from an estate in Florida. It needs restoration. But it is a REAL 1970 Olds 442.   344 VIN. Was told its was always a Florida car. the first pictures are of the 442 washed and in my garage. The dirty/dusty pictures of the car on the jack stands is how the car looked when I bought it.

The car registration is current and in my name and current Florida  Antique plates on the 1970. 442. Complete car and appears all the original parts and pieces are included.

It was parked about 10-12 years ago. The widow said her husband was working on it about ten years ago. She said he was working on the carb and he dropped a screw down the carb. So he decided to start stripping the car down and restore it. So he put the car up on jack stands and took some of the front end off and then ended up never really finding time to continue. so it sat on the stands for the next 10+ years. He recently passed away so she decided to sell it. I took pictures of how it looked when I saw it. Very dirty from sitting under the overhang. But it appears with a tune up. brakes. nbsp;drain gas tank and a battery it would run and drive. I also think you could put some new carpet in it and drive and restore as you go. I have not tried tp start the car.

The belly of the car looks really good. There is rust around the car but easy fixes as it appears the 442 has original paint and doesn't appear to ever had any body work done except for the trunk lid where its brown . The  car appears to have never been repainted. Body and interior is survivor condition and needs restored. Both front fenders have rust issues at the bottom of the fenders. Rust around rear fender wells and cowl by hood has rust.  Rust in the usual places but the frame and pans are pretty nice. The entire dash appears original and looks good.

The engine she thought was a 400. but I have no idea what it is. Has factory air condition.  I was going to take it to a shop and drop the gas tank and get it running but decided I will let whoever buy the car just do it the way the want. I have no doubt the family was very honest and believe it ran when parked.

The interior is pretty much all original and was filthy. I removed all the seats and carpet so I could take photos to show original floor pans and the belly of the car. A couple small pinholes but very minimal by passengers feet.

Again it is a real 442 and it needs restored or get it running and drive as it.  So please ask any questions you have and I will do my best to take more pictures and try and answer your questions.

The OLDS 442 is being sold as/is with no warranty implied or expressed.

Clear Florida title in hand. The 442 is located in Punta Gorda.

Local pick up and buyer is responsible for shipping and I will help as much as possible if you send a shipper.

The pictures of the 442 in my garage and washed is how it currently sits & looks. Tires are in great shape. The old pictures of it dusty and dirty is what it looked like when I bought it  after it sitting for over 10 years.

I added a picture of the Intake manifold. It says OLDS  W-455.   The owners wife thought it was a 400 engine ? So I don't know for sure what size the motor it is. Maybe it is a 455 since the intake has that on it. I really don't know.   Sorry
