Current customer rating:
This beautiful series II XKE OTS has what is believed to be 35. 00 original miles and has not been registered in thirty years. Green over Biscuit leather is a classic color combination and this car wears it well. The body has been re-painted once in the original color in the 1970's. While the paint is showing some age. the body is very straight and very solid in the usual rusty areas. Check the photos carefully: you will not see rust on this car. All panels appear to be original. The interior is all original and the leather has torn on the driver seat bottom. The wood steering wheel is in excellent shape and has been professionally refinished. gauges & switches are in very good condition.
The soft top is original also and needs to be replaced. but the frame is in good condition. All numbers matching drivetrain is a big plus. and the engine starts easily and runs smooth with no smoke or unusual noises. No synchro issues when shifting through the gears. The twin carburetors were recently rebuilt (2013) and at the same time the fuel tank was removed & professionally restored. Wire wheels are all in excellent shape without major pitting and appear to be very straight. Tires are in new condition.
A hard top is included which is in good condition. It has been painted with a primer but the headliner. trim and rear window are in very good shape.
This is a very honest and original Series II Roadster that can be a great driver with a little freshening up.
Automotion Classics is also a full service restoration shop: we would like to offer our services to the new owner if they wish to continue the restoration efforts. Many More photos available: Please contact us for more information.
