1984 mk 2 golf gti 3 door in alpine white fully restored to beyond factory condition with the optional extra recaro interior. headling and everything else that is usually rubbish is in amazing condition. restored by myself two years ago to my own high standards nothing was left untouched. starting with a very good shell anyway. i set about stripping it back to look for any problems that would crop up in the future and rectified the few issues as i i found and then went overboard.

new parts as follows. gear box fully rebuiltall new brakes and bearings and bushes all roundgear linkage kitall brackets bolts and clips have been re zinc platedap coilover suspensionbonrath top mountsfull new side swage sticker kit and type 19 liverynew exhaust when restoredused but in good order full matching recaro seats and door cardswheels are the rare and sought after zender turbo phase 1 7 x 15 with good bridgestone potenza 165 x 50 x 15 new windscreennew door striker pinsall factory original arch kitnew bottom arms/ track rod ends and ball jointsblaupunkt stereothe clocks show 200 k ish the engine was replaced with a low mileage scirroco dx code engine . all stripped checked and new belts/gaskets etcreconditioned alternator. bosch battery

the car has just drove 1300 miles to mivw in holland and the ride was amazing on the ap coilovers and the car returned very good mpg and ran perfect. these are getting few and far between in this condition. some subtle modifications i done to allow modern needs as follows. ll arches profesionally returned lips " not rolled with a roller or a pair of mole grips. these are flat fully turned and smoothed. perfectlyrear wiper deletedfull underside was stripped back etched. re stone chipped . re sealed and fully painted then waxoiled as it was when it was brand new.
10 months mot. ready to go
