Early Series 2 Ford Escort RS Turbo. 1986 on a 'D' reg in rare 'Nimbus Grey'
Only 2 former keepers. the first from new until 1990. the second until 2011. Was off the road in storage for many years until being recommisioned in 2011. Completely HPI clear with full report supplied.

The car is completely standard with no modifications to the body. interior or engine. A good story!
Bodywork:This is a really nice looking car in Nimbus Grey of which there are very few remaining. From what I can see it has had replacement front wings at some point. the engine bay looks all original (slam panel etc). original headlights. Battery tray has some corrosion but not rotten. There is no rust on the body and shines beautifully but it has had paintwork in the past which is not of the standard I would expect. I am probably being over-critical as this is a very nice looking car but under strip lights you can see some dust/marks in the laquer. With the low ownership and story of this car it would be worth spending some money on it to make perfect. Underneath is solid. treated with waxoyl/stonechip.
Interior:All standard including Original Ford Radio. Recaro seats with minimal wear on bolster. no silly holes or cracks in dashboard. headlining good. no speaker holes in parcel shelf.

Engine:Standard. no dump valve etc. Original hoses still with Ford jubilee clips from what I see. No smoke on start up or under load. Engine sounds fine with no rattles or tapping. Timing belt looks like it's been done recently.
Mechanicals:No rattles or knocks when driving. Has had new front discs and pads. recent new fuel tank. Refurbished alloys with new tyres.

The car is located in Whitburn. West Lothian. approx 15 miles West of Edinburgh. No time wasters please. Price of car is £5995 and I'm not seeking any swaps or offers. Car will only increase in value.
