OVERVIEW
The Fordson e 83 w was the works vehicle of its day. strongly built and reliable.
EXTERIOR
The exterior of this Fordson is in good condition. The truck has been subject to a full repaint around ten years ago. which with the limited millage since and dry storage. has remained in good condition.
INTERIOR
The interior of this classic pickup is generally good. with the addition of an extra seat from standard to allow for a passenger to ride along side. The seats have been recovered in vinyl and look tidy. There is one tare in the base of the driver's seat. which has been repaired with duct tape. All clocks. dials and lights are all in good serviceable condition. Beneath the carpets. the floors are in good condition with no signs of rust or corrosion. The headlining is tight without any marks or signs of wear. The buck of the truck is in good condition but may benefit from a light coat of paint internally to finish it off.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay really is clean but a little tatty. The engine starts on the button and runs very well from cold. The clutch feels good with plenty of life still in it. Going through the gears is as easy as the day this van left the factory.
WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The wheels and hubcaps are freshly refurbished with good tyres all round. Under the buck the spare wheel is in good condition also. The brakes are good condition the pedal is firm bringing the car to a controlled stop in a straight line.
EQUIPMENT
Directional indicators. 3 speed gearbox with reverse. headlights. push-up push-down windows.
HISTORY FILE
This truck is stated as originally manufactured in 1954 on the v 5 although due to a loss of paper work at some point in its past the vehicle date shown on the v 5 is 1981. To be included in the sale are a handful of picures from the vehicles restoration.
