HEINKEL TROJAN CABIN CRUISER BUBBLE CAR 1964 for sale

THIS LITTLE CAR IS WAITING TO GO TO A GOOD HOME. BUILT IN 1964 SO WAS QUITE CLOSE TO THE END OF THE PRODUCTION OF THESE CARS WHEN THEY WERE KILLED OFF BY THE MINI.
A FRIEND OF MINE BOUGHT THIS AND 2 OTHER TROJANS AROUND 1980. TWO OF THEM WERE SUBSEQUENTLY STORED AWAY IN AROUND 1985 AND LITERALLY BURIED WITH ALL SORTS OF STUFF AROUND THEM. INCLUDING A MESSERSCHMIDT. AND NOT SEEN AGAIN UNTIL 2013. I BOUGHT THE TWO TROJANS FROM HIM 3 YEARS AGO AND SET ABOUT RESTORING THE OTHER ONE AS IT WAS IN A FAR WORSE STATE THAN THIS ONE SO USED THIS ONE AS A REFERENCE CAR. I WANTED TO RETURN BOTH CARS TO THE ROAD BUT I HAVE SO MANY PROJECTS ON THE GO THAT I NEED TO SELL THIS ONE AND TRY TO CARRY ON WITH THE OTHER ONE THAT IS NOW WELDED UP. IT IS A COMPLETE CAR THOUGH OBVIOUSLY NOT SO IN THE PICTURES. NOTHING IS MISSING THOUGH SOME PARTS SUCH AS THE INTERNAL QUILTED LINING AND CARPET IS UNUSABLE. IT NEEDS A COMPLETE RENOVATION. THE CAR WAS MOSTLY STRIPPED WHEN I GOT IT SO I HAVE PUT THE ENGINE AND FRONT AXLE BACK IN THE CAR. IT STARTS AND RUNS BUT THE GEAR SELECTOR CABLE NEEDS SETTING UP. THE CLUTCH SEEMS TO OPERATE. I DIDN'T NEED TO DO MUCH TO GET IT RUNNING. THE ENGINE WASN'T SEIZED BUT I PUT SOME OIL IN THE BORE AND LEFT IT FOR A FEW DAYS. THE DYNASTART WORKED STRAIGHT AWAY AND THE IGNITION LIGHT GOES OUT WHEN REVVED. I COULDN'T SAY HOW GOOD THE ENGINE IS BUT IT STARTS AND TICKS OVER FINE. EXHAUST HAS SEVERAL HOLES IN IT.
THE CAR NEEDS LOTS OF BODYWORK BUT I'VE SEEN A LOT WORSE! THE ONE THAT IS NOW WELDED WAS FAR WORSE. IT NEEDS A COMPLETE FLOOR (BUT YOU MAY DISAGREE) AND THESE ARE OF COURSE AVAILABLE FROM JIM HACKING. SILLS. WHEEL ARCHES ETC ALL THE USUAL PLACES. EVERYTHING IS AVAILABLE FROM JIM HACKING.
THE SUN ROOF IS COMPLETE BUT WILL NEED RECOVERING. ALL THE PERSPEX IS SCRATCHED. THE ONE THING THAT IS COMPLETED IS THE SEATS. THEY HAVE BEEN STRIPPED. FRAMES BLASTED AND POWDER COATED AND PROFESSIONALLY REUPHOLSTERED IN THE ORIGINAL TARTAN. IF YOU KNOW THESE CARS WELL YOU WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT AND IF INTERESTED WILL WANT TO COME AND SEE IT. I LIVE 5 MILES FROM J 22/23 OF THE M 1 AND 5 MILES FROM J 13 OF THE A/M 42. IF I CAN'T GET THE START BID I WILL JUST CARRY ON AND GET THIS ONE WELDED UP TOO. I'M NOT GIVING IT AWAY. NO PAYPAL.
