Hillman Imp Van

I am reluctantly selling my 1969 Hillman Imp Van - with a difference!
This van has a BMW K 1100 engine fitted which is becoming a very popular conversion in the Imp world thanks to Clark Dawson and his comprehensive. well engineered kit.

The result is a smooth. reliable and very quick wee van - the ultimate sleeper! You can potter about and it's very refined and well behaved or you can open it up and it absolutely flies. It also has much more torque than even a 998 or 1040 Imp engine and tows very well. The van easily copes with my Dandy Trailer Tent.
Imp vans are very rare in sound running condition. There have been no irreversible modifications so an Imp engine could easily be reinstalled if originality was important. In the meantime its a drive anywhere. fun & practical classic.
Bodily. the van is very sound having been restored a few years ago by a previous owner. It is very presentable but it has a couple of bumps and scrapes. They all add to the van's character!The drivers side lower rear quarter will need some attention soon but the van won't need any major bodywork for years if looked after.
