I am a private owner and have owned this legitimate 1969 GS 400 Stage 1 convertible since 2009. I used to think I was good at selling a car like this but apparently it is a skill I have lost. LOL. I have had it for sale on and off for some time. Not a single person has come to see it or sent someone to inspect it.
And now. all I get is the dopes who say " There must be something wrong with it so I will give you $20 K to take it off your hands" . I don't expect to get $40 k for the car. Just a fair price. Restored the few out there are never listed below $80 k. If you know how rare and valuable this car is then you'll recognize that this is an opportunity to get a rare. appreciating. drivable muscle car at a great price.
This is a REAL. very clean and great running. 1 of 212 1969 stage 1 convertibles. It is one of 14 listed in the national stage 1 registry. It has the matching #'s 400 motor with 2000 miles on a complete rebuild. It has a correct freshly rebuilt 1969 stage 1 BB transmission. It has buckets. A/C. power windows and power disc brakes. The roof is brand new at a cost of $2 k. The tires and running gear are all in good working order. The body is clean and the paint . nd chrome show very well.
The floors are perfect . the interior has no rips or tears. The dash bezel is restored and the dashpad is perfect.
I spent years looking for this car. I know it in and out. I didn't buy junk. and I am not selling junk. I have three muscle cars a business. ne kid in college. one in high school and a crazy life. I need less stress . And that means less vehicles.
