1979 Mazda RX7 in VIC for sale

1979 Mazda Rx 7 Selling surplus to requirement. I need a new daily driven car.

I'll start with the good points. Resprayed by the previous owner 3 years ago. Original colour Sonic Bronze Metallic.
Suspension. Brakes. and Clutch less than 30. 00 klms old.
Recent engine swap. Series 3 Rx 7 12 a. I purchased for $2000 without warranty. It has excellent compression. starts hot or cold very well and gets down the road very well. (rear main seal and sump gasket replaced. inlet manifold match ported and original carburettor tuned. secondaries converted to mechanical instead of vacuum operation)
Now the bad. Small amount of rust in the rear hatch and passenger door which occurred after the paint started to crack possibly due to poor preparation. (I have arrested the issue by applying a penetrating rust converter directly to the areas where the cracked paint is and have had no further issues in over a year)
Gearbox could do with a rebuild or replacement. (some bearing noise is evident in all gears other than fourth) No issues selecting gears hot or cold though!
The dash board could do with a re skin. Most of the damage is hidden under the dash mat.
Overall though for a 37 year old car it presents fairly well and gets plenty of attention from other road users.
The car is being sold as is. here is! No RWC or REGO.
Requirements for RWC. possibly a new windscreen depending on who you get to do it and also the front strut tops. I have a good used pair to go in.
Please. No SWAPS. I'm slightly negotiable on the price.
