1954 Kaiser Darrin
One Family Owned Since New
Amazing condition.
It is 98% as it came from the factory.
Only 435 ever built and the is body # is 423 making it one of the last ones built.
Yes. It needs to be restored but it runs and drives great like it is.
The steering is tight. engine is smooth (idles at about 500 rpm) and the overdive transmissions shifts easily.
It starts easy when cold and there are no strange noises or smoke.
The brakes were refreshed last year and it stops nice and straight.
Check out the triple horns mounted in the front air dam. the larger of which was manufactured by Buell Mfg Co. They are loud and will provide great fun honking at people txting.
Also notice the sunvisors over the gauges and the backup lights under the rear bumper.
The windshield is nice as are the wind deflectors.
Doors open and shut fine.
It has all it's original hubcaps with the original emblems.
The interior is all original. carpet seat covers. trim. etc as is the original convertible top which makes it easy to duplicate the original patterns and materials by any reputable upholstery company.
The original undamaged Fiberglas body is solid and straight and appears to be wearing it's original paint.
