1973 Volvo ES 1800 Sport Wagon 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive for sale

This auction is for a 1973 Volvo ES 1800 Sport wagon.
It is in daily use and starts perfectly warm or cold. It drives quite well. steers and stops very well. and the four speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and the overdrive works perfectly. The engine does not smoke and as of last week showed excellent compression test results of 152 psi . 146 psi. 150 psi. 144 psi. all well within factory specifications.
The paint is in decent condition as you can see from the photos and you can also see some
spot touch up repairs on the lower splash panels in several of the images. There are also several areas showing signs of small rust bubbling in the paint as shown in the images. The left rear bumper has some deteriorated chrome.
The seat upholstery is in nearly new condition as you can see from the images. and the headliner is in good condition as well. There are several cracks in the dash vinyl as is common with Volvo's of this age and the carpeting in general is in good shape.
Things to note: The air conditioning compressor has been removed and discarded. however the rest of the air conditioning system is still intact and mounted in the car. The tachometer and windshield wipers do not work. The gas struts for the glass deck lid are worn out.
The car comes with full service records from 1976 up until 2013. a copy of the original owner's handbook. and two different service manuals for the car. It has a one month old high capacity battery. and a fresh tune-up and fuel injection service and calibration.
The odometer shows 305. 00 miles which is proof of both the durability and the owner loyalty to these cars.
The car is available for inspection in Los Osos. California which is near Morro Bay. three hours south of San Jose. and three hours north of Los Angeles.
