"two horses") is a front engine. front wheel drive. air cooled economy car introduced at the 1948 Paris Salon Mondial de l'Automobile.

The Citroen 2 cv was

manufactured by Citroën in Europe between 1948 and 1990 in several factories. The most important). Vigo (Spain). and Belgium. And the final two years of 2 CV production took place only in Mangualde (Portugal). before production ended in 1990.

A 1953 technical review in Autocar described "the extraordinary ingenuity of this design. which is undoubtedly the most original since the model T Ford". In 2011. The Globe and Mail called it a "car like no other". Noted automotive author L.

J. K. Setright described the 2 CV as "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car". calling it a car of "remorseless rationality".

The 2 CV is unquestionably one of the cars of the twentieth century!

This car was sold new in Barcelona (Spain). in the hands of one family from 1963 to 2013 (50 years!!). In 2013 a Spanish collector bought the car and he makes minor maintenance work. In 2016 the car

is

imported from Europe. Fully revised by a specialist before embarking to the United States. The car looks with beautiful patina and drives excellent!

This unit is a t rue survivor with very low miles.

Four windows model with oldest and rare suicide doors!! Beautiful colors combination: blue with grey wheels. bumpers and hood. and red interior with grey dash. Very rare to find in this condition.

This rare model is equipped with a two cylinder 425 CC air cooled engine. 4 speed manual transmission. 6 volts. Always starting and running beautifully like a new 2 CV in 1963.

Finalizing your Purchase:

MB Vintage Cars will contact the successful high bidder by e-mail after the auction closes.

within 24 hours of the auction ending to make arrangements to complete their transaction. If we cannot confirm your intention to buy or the sale is not completed within 5 days. we reserve the right to relist this vehicle or sell to any other qualified buyer.
