A 1989 Lotus Elan M 100. registration number F 644 DNG. chassis number CHPP 104. engine number 706 WT 015. Silver Frost. This ex-Lotus prototype. pre production. London Motorfair 1989 and Glasgow Motorshow launch display vehicle has an impressive detailed history from new. The large history file contains photographs of the unveiling of the Lotus with Mike Kimberley at the London Motorfair (1989). internal correspondence between various parts of the factory including product planning manager Peter Riding and Mike Kimberley. receipts. brochures. MOTs. a CD of images at the Motorfair London. and Autocar October 1989 where the Lotus featured in an article. Returning from its motorshow duties. the Elan was on static display at the factory. until being purchased by an employee Mr G Michin on 4-9-91 (letter on file). With only 54. 00 miles on the odometer. the Elan was originally registered as a Zante to disguise its identity. The Lotus is presented in original condition and still retains its better quality leather interior. aluminium wheels and mohair hood. In the present ownership it has formed part of private collection. The vendor advises us that he has recently replaced the radiator and offers the Lotus for auction with a huge history file. Hi I was wondering if it would be possable to purchase a copy of the CD with the images of your fine car, as i own PP015 that was along side your car at the motorfair in 1989. I have owned the car for a few years now but cant seem to find many photos of it. If you have any Photos showing G951NNG i would love to hear from you.
