I have decided to sell my mk 1 escort Alan Mann recreation it started life as a 1300 xl registered in april 1972 so its tax free.
The Shell has never been welded and is in stunning condition its only ever had 3 owners including myself. I have
loved owning this car and done some amazing trips and shows however i feel its time for a new project.
I haven't used the car much in the last two years and have only done 396 miles. The car has been kept under cover
in a heated dry garage by myself and the prevoius owner.
There is a A 4 folder full of paper work relating to the car all the mots from 1997 onwards and tax discs. All of the
work on the car has been carried out to an exeptional standard. This is a car you can just get in and have some great fun.
The car was on the front cover of classic ford magazine featured in the same issue in 2001 and has also been in retro cars
It has featured in classic ford many times and was on the front cover again when they done engine build feature
The shell is rot free never been welded its not covered in underseal underneath hiding anything its imaculate. The paint work
is stunning there is one small stone chip on the bonnet. All the stickers are correct period stickers as the original Alan mann

It has a safety devices roll cage fitted with correct padding
Corbeau sprint seats retrimed in black vinyl the seats are not on runners but can be adjusted to suit
6 point secron seat belts
Aluminium door cards and firewall The Stig has signed the passenger door card
All the gauges are Autometer which cost a fortune oil temp. water temp amp meter. speedo and 5 inch tacho with shift light all working
correctly

The engine is a 2. 1 pinto which has been modified
big valve head 44. 5 mm inlet valves with FR 33 camshaft & HD cam bearings

MSD ignition with MSD coil Launch control
Weber twin 45's set up by Northampton motorsport

The attention to detail is superb and the engine bay is spot less and has been cleaned after every journey.

The rear axle has a quaife atb lsd fitted which is brillant
Anti tramp bars fitted and have been poly bushed
Single leaf rear springs again have been poly bushed
Spax front and rear shocks 18 point adjustable
Adjustable Track control arms
front top mount replaced with aluminium adjustable ones
All suspension bushes have been replaced with poly bush ones
The brakes have had the servo removed and is running dual bias pedal box

minilte wheels with falken tyres i also have the original 5 J 4 spoke RS Wheel with tyres which are in great condition
