Originally Shelby approached Chevrolet to provide a power plant for the initial run of Cobra’s but not wanting in house competition for the Corvette. Chevrolet declined his proposal. Ford on the other hand was searching for any means necessary to provide the Corvette with a challenge and gladly provided the power for what would become one of the greatest GT cars ever produced. After numerous victories worldwide. it's easy to see why this is one of the most re produced vehicles in the world. This AC replica was built by Factory Five Customs which is now known as one of the best AC Cobra kit you can buy. This Cobra was built to be cruised and is powered by the ever reliable Ford 302 mated to a 5 Speed manual transmission.
