You already know how much of an icon the Tri-Five Chevys are. so imagine our delight when this lovely 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air showed up with classic two-tone paint. a muscle era small block V 8. and four-on-the-floor.

All of this for one of the best prices you'll ever find for a complete '55.

The two-tone red and white color combination is exactly how you want this classic to look.

The luster on this one is courtesy of a more modern re-spray (even the undercarriage was painted). It sets the tone perfectly for how you want to be seen in this hardtop coupe a great classic that has been enhanced for a little more "look at me!" attitude that happened back in the day.

Combined with the mirror-like bumpers. wire wheels. and dual exhaust. this Bel Air could be straight out of American Graffiti.

But more than just nostalgia. make sure you take some time to look at how it gets the fundamentals correct.

All the body panels fit well. the doors close with authority. and all the hard to find intricate trim is complete.

Inside is more of the classic cruiser feeling as the exterior colors are repeated on the upholstery.

The red seats with the pristine white inserts have the premium tuck-n-roll appearance that is duplicated on the door and side panels.

It has that great uniform and complete appearance that will make people love to sneak a peek at the car shows. but this Bel Air was also rebuilt to be a great driver.

That's why you get great features like the Grant GT wood-rimmed steering wheel and the Hurst floor shifter.

This should be a clear indication to you that there's something special under the hood.

Part of what makes these cars a legend is that 1955 was the first production year for the Chevy small block V 8.

The only optional eight-cylinder in this inaugural year was the 265 cubic-inch motor. So this keeps the original small block spirit. but it has been given a serious upgraded to a more powerful 350 cubic-inch unit.

Once you look past the shiny elements like the air cleaner and valve covers. you're going to see the substance of a V 8 block from 1970.

This muscle car era motor was rated at 300 hp. and that was before it's been upgraded with features such as the Holley four-barrel carburetor. Edelbrock intake. and long tube headers.

You get complete control over the enhanced powerplant thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. and we bet you're just imagining the kind of rumble you can produce with the glasspack-style dual exhaust.

But this classic Bel Air isn't a complete street brute.

Features like power steering. front disc brakes. and the grip of BF Goodrich T/A radials means you'll be driving to the cruise-ins with a smile on your face.

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
