CHASSIS:

1969 CHEW NOVA FRONT TO BACK. I INSTALLED HOME-MADE FRAME  CONNECTORS. REMOVED THE NOVA  BODY AND WENT  FROM THERE.

HE CAB IS A 1946 FORD. I CHANNELED IT 6 INCHES AND BUILT A NEW FLOOR (MOSTLY FIBERGLASS). THE FRONT SUBFRAME IS COMPLETELY REBUILT. NEW BALL JOINTS. USHINGS. NNER/OUTER TIE RODS. IDLER ARM. PRINGS. HOCKS ETC. STEERING BOX IS AN NOS MANUAL UNIT. REAR HAS 2. 73 GEARS WITH NEW RING AND PINION. EAQRINGS AND SEALS. ORIGINAL (MILEAGE UNKNOWN) TURBO 350 TRANNY DRIVES FINE BUT HAS AN INTERNAL LEAK. I INSTALLED NEW FRONT AND REAR SEALS. FRONT PUMP GASKET AND FILTER/PAN GASKET. IT STILL LEAKS. WILL NEEDATTENTION!

ALL 4 WHEELS! FRONTS ARE 14X6 AND REARS ARE 15X6. THEY WERE POWDER COATED SILVER THEN POWDER COATED AGAIN WITH CLEAR. TIRES ARE COKER BIAS-PLY E78-14 AND L78-15. EW WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT. CHROME LUGS AND WASHERS WITH AFTERMARKET BULLET CAPS AND MOON VALVE STEM COVERS.

INTERIOR:

STOCK SEAT REUPHOLSTERED WITH WHITE AND METALFLAKE BLUE · NAUGAHYDE. TUCK AND ROLL WITH CONTRASTING BLUE PIPING. THE SEAT WAS STRIPPED AND REBUILT BEFORE UPHOLSTERY WAS DONE.

  SPEEDO IS A MID SO'S STUDEBAKER/STEWART WARNER UNIT. REST  IS MALLORY (0/P. ATER    TEMP. ACH). I HUNG AN NOS GAUGE PANEL UNDER THE DASH FOR FUEL AND VOLTS BUT NEVER GOT TO IT SO IT'S THERE BUT EMPTY. 1965 BUICK RMERA TILT COLUMN. NOS SUPERIOR 500 WALNUT WHEEL WITH BULLET CENTER CAP. RETRO TALL SHIFTER WITH CUSTOMIZED CAL. CUSTOM DAGGER HANDLE. ORIGINAL 1946 REAR VIEW MIRROR FLIPPED AND MOUNTED ON THE DASH · EURO STYLE. STOCK HANDLES WITH CUSTOM PANELS. MODIFEID NOVA GAS AND BRAKE PEDAL.

BODY:

1946 FORD PICKUP CAB. HOME-MADE BED IS . 094 STEEL. CAB WAS ROUGH. I PATCHED IT TOGETHER TO SUIT MY PURPOSE. HAS PLASTIC IN THE CAB CORNERS AND LOWER HINGE AREA ON BOTH SIDES. I BUILT NEW COWL SECTIONS FROMTHE SAME . 094. IT'S SOLID. DOORS OPERATE FINE WITH THE ORIGINAL HANDLES. BOTH DOOR/SIDE GLASSES ARE ORIGINAL AND RIDDLED WITH BB HOLES. IJUST KEPT THEM DOWN. FRONT GLASS WAS NEW BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS CRACKED IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OUT OF LINE OF SIGHT. IN NH IT'S LEGAL. REAR WINDOW IS PLEXIGLASS. THE ORIGINAL WIPER MOTOR AND HARDWARE ARETHERE BUT NEVER HOOKED UP. COWL VENT WORKS PERFECT BUT HAS NO SEAL. THE GRILL SHELL AND RADIATOR ARE ORIGINAL 33-34 PICKUP PIECES. RADIATOR WAS PROFESSIONALY MODIFIED AND WORKS/COOLS FLAWLESSLY. CUSTOM SCHLITZ GAN OVERFLOW. SHE'S BEEN ON A 200 MILE TRIP IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER AND NEVER WENT ABOVE 200 DEGREES.

THEREARE2IGNITIONSWITCHES(1FORTHEFT/SAFETY)ANDA PUSH BUTTON STARTER (NO KEY). DIRECTIONALS. LIGHTER AND HEADLIGHT. I WIRED IN A HIGH-BEAM INDICATOR AND LIGHTS IN THE GAUGES. THAT'S ABOUT IT. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE 61-63 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL. I HAD THE BEZELS RECHROMED AT A COST OF SLIGHTLY LESS THAN ONE LEFT N*T. IWON'T MENTION NAMES BUT THEIR ADS SAY IT  WILL LOOK AS GOOD AS "NU CHROME". IT DOESN'T BUT IT'S A LOT BETTER THAN IT WAS. TAIL/STOP/BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOS YANKEE390S'. FRONT'S ARE NOS EMPl'S FROM THE 60S'. I PUT GLASS AMBER DOTS IN THEM AND THEY'RE BRIGHT!

BUMPERS:

CUSTOMMADEFORSOMETHINGINTHE 60's I PURCHASED THEM FROM EBAY AND MADE THEM WORK HAD TO FABNEW MOUNTS SO THEY'RE NOT CHROME LIKE THE BUMPERS. THEFRONTISMUCHBETTERTHANTHEREARASFARASCONDITION. BOTH· HAVE IMPERFECT 60S' CHROME AND SOME RUST/PITTING . THE GOOD NEWS IS THEY'RE ONE OFAKIND!!!          .
