For Sale: A Legendary 1926 Jordan PlayboyHave decided to sell my 1926 Jordan Playboy.  This is the legendary car that greatly altered the world of automobile advertising forever !  Through Mr.  Jordan's  "Somewhere West Of Laramie" ad the automobile world was changed.  Filling his advertisments with Youth. Sex-appeal. Romance. nbsp;Excitement. and Adventure the Jordan automobile turned the world of advertising up side down !  
And so. I am selling my restored 1926 Jordan Playboy.  (Clare is her name).  She consists of a Continental "Red Seal" straight 8 engine. Lockheed 4 wheel brakes. Warner gear 3 speed transmission. Timken rear end. American Bosch ignition. Steward Warner fuel system. and fun and excitement.  
If you have no intention of purchasing this car. PLEASE do not bid!  This is for serious buyers only.  But if you want Fun and Head-turning Ability this a car for you !

I've received a large number of phone calls asking how many Jordan Playboys exist today.  Well. all I can tell you is that as far as 1926 Jordan Playboys Model J's are concerned. nbsp;there are nine known to exist on record.  Now. of course. there could be one hiding in the woodwork somewhere.

I have been receiving quite a few messages about the top.  Yes. it goes with Clare.  It's all there and in great shape but. I have never restored it.  The old top is still on the frame and can be used for patterns.  I never drive Clare in the rain. and at my age. if the top were up I would never be able to get in the car.  If the top was put up after I was in the car. it would take 6 people just to help me out.
