So here I am. reluctantly selling one of my remaining two RARE Buicks. I will also be listing a 1961 Electra . only ONE will be sold.
This car was imported in January 2013 as a nice original and collectible driver. The fussy importer decided he wanted it to be better so the motor was removed and fully rebuilt in Victoria using brand new components to run on unleaded. Much time was spent on detailing by the fastidious chap. even down to hand turned stainless acorn engine nuts throughout. Seats were reupholstered in expensive new correct reproduction material. sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon USA.
I purchased this Wildcat coupe early 2015 before it came on the market (and once the hard work was done!). Buick considered this model as their factory Hot Rod . hence the brilliant bucket seat/console/tacho interior. The car has been registered in Victoria.
Much money has been spent on the mechanicals. the rebuilt 401 Nailhead and Dynaflow transmission run REAL good. The paint shows sign of some age with small blemishes in evidence. but certainly looks fantastic from a couple of meters away. Chrome and stainless are excellent. I have not found any body rust. a small repair to trunk floor has been done in fiberglass.
I have recently fitted a set of genuine Buick Rallye wheels which sets off the factory Regal Black paint and red interior. Owners manual. shop manual and brochures are included. Original wheels and correct hubcaps are available if required.
It was difficult to put a price on this car. as there is not much to compare to in Australia. It would suit a buyer of a 1963/64 Chevrolet Impala at a substantial saving of $10. 00 or more. I believe I am asking a realistic price. but may negotiate by phone or face to face. I WILL NOT DO IT VIA EMAILS. if you are genuine please call me 08 82701826.
