VAT Status No VATAdditional Info ESTIMATE £9. 00 - £11. 00 Chassis number 58 S 2718 - purchased new we are informed by Mr Hugh Fitzpatrick of Nassau Street. Dublin. for One Thousand Guineas. The car was assembled by G. A. Britain of Portobello. Dublin from C. K. D. (completely knocked down) form. and one of many which had been sent from both the Coventry and Abingdon factories allowing Riley to claim these sales as "exports". Once assembled the car it is believed was taken two miles to "Booth Poole & Co. Ltd. " an extremely large Garage and luxurious Showroom at Islandbridge. selling Riley. Wolseley and latterly MG cars. Lionel Booth was a Solicitor. Politician and astute Businessman as well as joint Managing Director of the Company. he went on to be Managing Director of the Britain Group during 1970. The 2 1/2 litre RMB was introduced during 1946 being a lengthen version of the RMA. and remained in production until 1952 during this time 6900 examples were produced. these cars were the last to be independently developed.
