Mini 1380

Mini 1380I have owned this mini since 2011 in that time it's been very well looked after I brought it as a standard mini 998 but after about a year the engine started smoking turned out to be piston ring failed. I then decided to purchase a  performance 1380 engine of here with no warranty that was the worst mistake you can do. the engine was built very poorly. I gave up with it all and decided to handed to a mini specialist garage to rebuild the engine and fix a few niggles on the mini. in the end they got the engine running great found that it's got some nice performance parts uprated pistons. head. clutch. and more.  It's not long been ran in. I took it back to them for some final checks and they rolling road it and it produced 100hp which is a nice usable amount. I recently drove from the Stratford upon Avon to London to Brighton and back with out a hitch.  Iv also change the dash putting a more retro centre binnacle instead of later 3 clocks. the exhaust is full stainless. he mini has always been garaged with me and the previous owner so the body work is pretty good for the age. The bottom of doors do have some rust on the skins and a bit on the bottom they have been like this since I've owned it also bit of rust round the headlights and bit near the top of the wings it's really nothing but I'm saying it so I cover my self it's a solid car.
There's a few bad points. It also has a small oil leak from the gear selector. I did buy the repair il give you that if I can find it. he driver side widow winder can be a bit fiddly when opening it likes to go down at a funny angle I just push it and it sorts it self out. the speedo is of another vehicle so when it was fitted the mileage was 17668 but the true mileage of the mini was 62000 the previous mot 2012 shows it was 55750 I did want to get it changed back to where it should be but its up the buyer. It's only done 1300 miles since the engine was completely rebuilt. The speedo is slightly off when your doing 30 you doing 35. I always used a app on my phone tells you correct speed. The v5 states it as a 998 not 1380 up to you if you want to change this I was going to but forgot. I'm only selling as I really don't use it enough and it's a shame just to be sat in the garage. It's a really great to drive and sounds great but it's certainly not a show car I never wanted it to be just a usable mini.  Also included is a outdoor/indoor cover what cost me £125 it's used condition but still works fine. I've also got few spares like radiator and anything else mini related il throw in.
