Pontiac Firebird V8 American Classic Muscle Project Car / Barn Find - NO RESERVE

This is my 1978 Pontiac Firebird 'Formula that I had imported from the States earlier this year. Although i intended on fixing her up myself. the lack of funds to do so now forces me to sell her on.

It has the 403 ci "Olds" engine which is very strong. Infact the car runs and drives great but the breaks are spongy and like the rest of the car could do with the full renewal/upgrade treatment. The car was used regularly but has been sitting now for the best part of a year so you'll need to arrange transportation if you're bid is successful.

I have listed the good and bad bits that I've spotted below but if you are interested and want to view the car or arrange a video call I can show you around her.

Bad bits.

The drivers side front wing

has a nasty dent and will need panel beating or replacing.

The passenger side front

wing has a small dent but nothing that can't be repaired.

Although she runs and drives

great the starter or starter solenoid takes a while to kick in. plus the

battery is flat and needs replacing. Again although it runs strong it is very

loud and may have a hole in the exhaust.

The previous owner has

removed the inner front wings/fenders (I do have these separate and they

are included in the sale).

The is in need of a full

respray - it was silver/light blue originally but aside from the dents mentioned

there are many more imperfections. scratches and dings that need

addressing.

The interior is half way

through a conversion to black but some of the trim panel work needs to be

re-done as it's a little shabby.

The aftermarket front

drivers seat is broken and not bolted down properly (this and the spongy

breaks & the time standing mean it needs transporting - please do not

try to collect/drive this car away)

One of the headlight

surrounds is broken and could do with replacing.

The bonnet release is

broken.

There are probably many more

bits. stains in carpets etc. But that's the worst of it as far as I can

see – but any inspection is welcome.

Good bits.

Amazing wheels and tyres -

great tread and good condition.

This is a proper California

car – Originally made in California and from what I can see it's been

there all its life as there's virtually no rust - all panels. arches.

sills etc. are in great condition. The usual trouble areas for these car –

Door hinges and the areas beneath he rear screen are all in great

condition.

The car is most of the way

through a black interior change and I have the original front seats which

although are blue and tatty - will come up nicely with the black covers

and done TLC ( I have found the black seat covers on e Bay for £300).

Again - the old headlining

has been removed but a new black one that is yet to be fitted is included

in this sale.

As mentioned the engine runs

and looks great. It has chrome eddlebrook rocker covers and a pancake air

filter.

Gearbox seems fine goes

through the gears and reverses fine.

All the glass is good

(although the door window on the drivers side has dropped and needs

refitting).

I have all of the import paperwork and all UK import taxes are paid up in full. She is ready to MOT and register with this paperwork and although it's a very straight forward process I can always help anyone who hasn't done this before.
