This is the truck in the Feb 2003 issue of Collectible Automobile Magazine. The pictures were taken in San Juan Capistrano. They did almost all the research on this model. including proving to some unbelievers that IHC made a few C model trucks until April of 1937 in Springfield Ohio while their other factories were gearing up to produce the D model. Also. if you Google 1937 IHC C1. this truck pops up.  Since the engines were produced with hardened valve seats for use with the propane option. I haven't worried about using leaded fuel. The new fuels did damage the tank so I had one duplicated to fit the original hardware and filler neck. (That was quite costly) I also installed a hidden electric fuel pump which has improved the drivability. The electrical system is the original 6v Positive ground. It has juice brakes which first came out in '36. Also in '36. they went to all-steel doors. While I went through the fuel system. I also replaced the master cylinder. This was all very recently. I finished the basic restoration back in 2001. I got it done enough to drive and show. I have a list of stuff left over to finish: Send gauge clusters in to rebuild. The speedo is noisy and intermittent. I disconnected the speedo cable because of the noise. The water temp is inop. It has never over-heated. The fuel gauge may not work. When I replaced the tank. I installed a new sender. When I filled it up. it went to full. but now it shows empty. The oil press and ammeter both work fine. It needs new e-brake cables. I have most of the hardware. I only had one useable rear fender. I was told that '36 Ford pickup fenders were almost identical. I used them and since they look so good and no one has noticed that they are fiberglass. I left them on. The originals are in my list of spares. The plates are unrestored Y. O. M. California plates paid until 2017. The license plate bracket is original. The truck is currently registered with those plates. and the California title is in my name and it is clear. I still have all the original interior wood that I used for patterns to reproduce the pieces. I have a spare engine. I have carbs. fuel pumps. a NOS ring and pinion. and a couple of boxes of misc. The magazine article said it has 18" wheels. They are actually the 16" Artillery wheels. These are correct wheels but so are 18" wire wheels. The wheels are solid and very rare. I got a lot of stuff from Dick "Pappy" Vance. One of the important things he had was a brand new windshield frame. I had new safety glass installed and at the same time. the door glass replaced. The rear glass is original. When the speedo was still working. I saw that I was able to go at least 55 mph on the highway. With the 4. 18:1 gear. it was revving pretty high. I noticed that when I'm going uphill. I get a little blow-by out the vent tube. The crank case vents directly in to the air. There's a couple of oil leaks that show up after it's parked for a while. Notice in one of the pictures that the wood trim between the cab and bed (on both sides) is in place. Usually this piece goes away and no one knows the difference. I have an original instruction book and parts book for the truck. The side mirror bracket is the original. In the magazine I had a non-original bracket and mirror.
Soon. I will lose my ability to park it indoors. I don't want it parked outside and have it go to pot. It has not spent one night outdoors since I started the resto in 1995.
I have an enclosed trailer. The truck is in the Reno/Sparks area. I can work out a delivery but that is to be worked out separately. Otherwise. the buyer must arrange for pick-up and shipping. If the spares are unwanted. I will keep them. By the way. it was hard to find a trailer that had enough head room for the height of this truck. so plan accordingly.  I have a lot of my own paperwork. plus some doc's going back to 1974. The family I got it from said that it even spent some time in Mexico. I strongly encourage inspection at my home in Sparks Nv.
