1964 Chevelle Malibu 2 Door Sports Coupe. 350 V 8 T 350 Auto Great American Cruiser LO 2 compliance for LH Drive with Aust. Standards seat belts.
The original 327 V 8 & 2 spd Powerglide combo was converted to a 350 V 8 & 3 spd turbo 350 combination in the US. The 3 spd & 3. 36 diff make for a good all round driver. I regularly take this Chevy on trips of 150 km+ & its never missed a beat. The engine is fairly stock with a few minor mods including HEI electronic ignition. 4 Barrel Carb. extractors. twin exhaust & aluminium radiator. Does have a slight oil leak. nothing too serious. Possibly engine sump I think. The body on this old girl is solid with only minor imperfections & no significant rust. There are a number of paint chips that you'd expect on an older resto. It was resprayed in the US before her arrival but how long ago that was I have no idea. All I can say is it looks exactly the same today as it did when I bought it a number of years ago & hasn't broken out in rust on me. I am confident. for the price. it will not upset. The chrome is also quite good all round. The interior is in good condition & not smoked in. No tears in seats the door trims & hood lining also in good condition. The dash is tidy with all the original gauges & radio. Wiring is in place for a hidden CD player in the glove box (CD player not included) – there are speakers in the front kick panels & 6 x 9's hidden under the parcel tray. The carpet presents well but has some discolouring in places from normal wear & tear. Like all good Chevy's this old girl has power steering you could handle with your little finger & has a front & rear coil spring suspension set up which makes it very smooth to drive.
Whitewall tyres have plenty of tread & the hubcaps are the SS option. Car is advertised elswhere so I reserve the right to end auction early if sold. More photos can be emailed if required.
