Up for auction is my brothers rare first year 1963 MGB.

This first year MGB has the desirable steel dash with toggle switches. stow away soft top and wire wheels. The car went through a very expensive restoration between 2004 - 2009 but now is in need of a freshening up and a few panel adjustments.

File: The car has was restored starting in 2004 and spanned 5 years and in the end had a file nearly 2 inches thick of invoices totally over $22. 00. This file is truly amazing.

Mechanically: The car runs great and has tight and responsive steering. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. The car has been converted to a single Webber carburetor for reliability and performance. The car shifts up / down through all gears with no binding or grinding of the gears. Brake and clutch peddles are strong. It would take a day or longer to detail everything that has been done to the car in the file with over $22. 00 in receipts but some of the high lights would be a complete engine rebuild. rebuilt transmission. upgraded carburetor. new radiator. new gas tank. new fuel pump new radial tires and list goes on and on and on.

Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Note the tach cable needs to be replaced so I'll order a new one and "try" to get it installed.

Interior: Is in serviceable condition but as you can see it needs some touch up.

Exterior: The car presents herself nicely in the photos with a nice soft top and the high end wire wheel package really sets the car off and apart from what you normally see out there. The chrome on the car shines bright. The paint is lets say "fair" but to really do the car justice you should plan on painting her. OK as a driver but opinions very. Note: I don't think it visible in the photos but there is a vertical crease about 5 inches long on the drivers front fender ( should easily popped out or repaired )

Underbody:

The underbody is in good condition. The frame. floors and inner sills look extremely solid. Note: I should have underbody photos available sometime Monday ( just
